Qnexa is sold under the name Qsymia that contains both phentermine and Topiramate, an extended release capsule. Phentermine is identical to an amphetamine that acts as a suppressant. Topiramate is prescribed as an anticonvulsant. Qnexa works well to treat obesity with a proper diet and exercise. This medicine is sometimes used to treat obesity that would be related to high cholesterol, high blood pressure or diabetes.
